Earlier in the week I helped out one of my customers with a simple repair to their couch and after I was done I asked them to post a review but they wanted to stay anonymous because they don't use social media. Mark assessed the repairs in home to measure and plan the work throughly, and then crafted new legs within just a few days. He painted them well so they blended in with the existing legs. Mark then returned to remove the shattered ones and install the new ones so we didnt have to take the couch anywhere - it was so much easier than we thought. He took care of all the work and charged an honest wage without any shady business. Thank you so much for helping us out - well gladly recommend you when given the chance!

He also was up to the challenge of working with materials he was unfamiliar with and produced a wonderful product. I would gladly use Mark for any future projects I have and couldn't recommend him enough.

Mark was great, very easy to work with and very skilled. I had Mark help my girlfriend and me attach a Murphy bed to a wall. This required building a "frame" that the bed would attach to so that we did not have to remove any part of the base boards. Mark was flexible on scheduling and came to Dallas on a Sunday to help out. The job took a few hours which required a trip to Home Depot but Mark was very reasonable in adjusting the total price to reflect time not actually used to construct the frame. We were very happy with the end result which is very secure. I will either post pictures of the frame/final product or send them to Mark for y'all to see but very happy with Mark's handiwork.

Mark designed and built a custom entertainment center for our living room. He incorporated all of our design requests through some clever ingenuity. One request was to have a TV opening with doors, which would open and cover the two shelving units next to it seamlessly. The doors rotate 180 degrees and look finished either opened or closed. He was very respectful and flexible with our schedule. Overall, it is a quality built in that will be enjoyed for a long time. Mark did a great job!

My wife and I bought this table it was not special, but after much thought to change the tabletop and incorporate it into our house, it became special. At least to me, lol. A table leg became damaged, and I searched for a dozen people who might do this work for us. Half did not return my phone calls or web inquiries and for many others, I just did not feel good about their rapport.

After reading Mark Mattson’s website, he and his team were on my shortlist. Then I met him, and he was honest about the timeline he could repair, and I could see some of his current work in the background which was impressive. The work returned to me was quality.

Mark did an excellent job replacing the hinges on my Henredon China cabinet. He was quick and very professional. He even repaired a hinge on one of my kitchen cabinet doors that he noticed malfunctioning. I highly recommend him!

Mark came and built a custom floating desk for me. He was very professional and easy to work with, even coming back after it was finished when I noticed some rough spots that needed a second pass with the sander. He did an excellent job with the paint and finish, matching it very well to my existing color scheme in the room. Extremely pleased with the entire process, only taking a few days from start to finish.

I rarely write reviews. I purchased a mahogany door unfinished. This job was very sentimental to me. This is my family's home. I moved in this home when I was 5 yrs old, and returned back several years ago. So I take pride in taking care of the home my parents gifted me. I want to thank Mark and his carpenter for helping me with my door. They followed through with the project to the very end, and didn't leave me hanging. I found Mark on Yelp, and was happy to see he was local. I had a rough idea of what I wanted built for an empty space in my kitchen: a hutch that can house the garbage can and a cat littler box. He was very responsive and even came to look at the space. We bounced ideas off each other and came up with a cabinet/hutch that is counter height, has space for a pull out garbage can, mini fridge (where I store pet food), two shelves (where I put their bowls to feed them) and an enclosed litter box with a cat door they can go in and out of. Just the fact that it is counter height has doubled my kitchen counter space. It turned out way better than I expected, and my cats absolutely love it. On top of the finished product being incredible, his customer service and friendliness were top notch. This is how a small business should be run. My next project will absolutely go through him.

I recently moved to the area and was looking for someone to bring a long-time dream to reality. That dream was to place a 210 gal saltwater aquarium in the wall. I knew from the start that the entire project would need to be custom. I needed someone that could make a complicated task look easy. And boy, did I find that in Mark. He is one of the most talented, amazing carpenters I have ever met. I was completely blown away at his skills and expertise, and ability to build right on site. The custom build included a custom aquarium stand, wall cut out and framing, and interior removable facade. You can tell that Mark truly enjoys what he does and takes true pride in his work. Mark, I cant thank you enough for the blessing you have brought. You will forever be My "Wood Guy". Thank you for blowing our minds. Awesome job!

Lemme start by saying, I'm not the easiest to please when it comes to what I'm looking for, but Mark got it spot on! I asked him to create a 7' desk 33" deep and put it on electric height adjustable legs. Not only did he do it, he created a masterpiece that'll last for years to come! I put a sheet of 1/4" glass on top to protect it, then I put an array of 4 24" computer monitors (two dual monitor stands) on 4" risers. It has worked out well for me giving me plenty of room to spread out my work, hobby, etc. Thanks Mark, and I look forward to more projects for ya coming soon!

Excellent work on a custom bar for our boat slip. Mark did an amazing job in not only creating the bar but also matching the color to go with the existing decor. Although Mark was not able to help me with my project, I still want to recommend him for his customer service. He messaged me back promptly and even took the time to dig into the situation and see if he can assist me. After accidentally spilling acetone on my landlord's antique dining room table, I knew that I needed a talented professional to fix it. The old table had been in his family for generations, and what it lacked in overall aesthetics, it made up for in emotional significance. After reaching out to several companies and receiving some outrageous quotes, I found Mark. His excellent response time, fair pricing, and flexibility in working with a crazy schedule, made him the best possible candidate. He was able to sand down the top surface of the table and re-stain it, matching the stripped blotch to the original color. I called Mark when the support beam on my wooden daybed was splitting and he answered immediately. I sent him over pictures and measurements of the beam and was able to set an appointment to get a new one made immediately.
